Join us as we learn about three different perspectives on how to support patients in finding safe and sustainable careers. Mary Brunkhart, School and Career Counselor with the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (IHTC), will discuss IHTC’s approach to school and career counseling and considerations for HTCs. Larry Forni, Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the ACCES VR New York State Education Department’s Statewide Transition and Youth Services, will discuss how his agency (and similar agencies in other states) supports young adults in finding work that fits their circumstances. Finally, Jennifer Newman, Physical Therapist with the UNC Hemophilia Treatment Center, will discuss the Working for Success booklet she co-authored and provide a physical therapy perspective on supporting patients in identifying careers.
